I just installed an Nvidia GT 620 in my system. My Power supply is 450 watts and am running Windows 7 64 bit. While the card is in the system (even without drivers installed), it will freeze and then need to be restarted at random times (even during POST!).

It's not a driver issue because the old drivers were uninstalled and the new are not in yet. The card is brand new so I can't imagine it being defective. The minimum wattage required on a PSU is 350 watts and I have a more than adequete PSU.

Can anybody help me?

How about re-sitting it and install drivers?

Thanks for the reply. Just re-seated the card and installed the drivers (with luck then it froze after). It now continues to freeze at random times.

Pull the gpu and with the old gpu make sure the bios of your mb is updated to rule out a bios bug. What the model of the mb and other pc parts??
