The GPU is more than twice as big, and it has twice as much memory bandwidth.

The 5670 can scrape by at low settings in most games. The 6850 can do high settings in most games.

Well I'm happy with my XFX 6850. But most of them are pretty similar, it's only the cooler that really varies and it's not that hard to make a decent cooler.

Anyway, the 6850 is really only worth it if you buy used. If you're buying new, a Radeon HD 7770 would be a better investment.

the thing is that my pc is a budget build and the max i could go was 6850. other then that i would had to either get a new power supply and so on.....

Yeah. And the 7770 will fit that build better than the 6850, because the 7770 uses a lot less power.

If you're in the US, this PowerColor Radeon HD 7770 looks like a good deal. Alternatively this Sapphire version, the cooler may be a little bit better (but it does cost more too).
