I know you are going to say "Hurr durr, you can't put a desktop GPU in a laptop" well, you are wrong, I've seen it happen before HERE , but I just wanted to know if there is a bottleneck, and would having the 6670 be better than HD3000?

Solution
If you are planning to get a desktop in near future then there is no point to buy expensive stuff for aging laptop.

Just get 6670 (Or whatever cheap GPU you can buy) and use it till then. Try to save as much as you can for desktop since better components in it would just be better for you. Make sure buying something expensive at the moment won't result in you not being able to afford an SSD later on for your build. Desktop is literally the best gaming machine you can find.
1) It would void the warranty. Just FYI.
2) Nope it would not bottleneck at all. HD 6670 is a fairly weak GPU. No issues. Just one thing that you would not notice the difference in games much.
3) It is better but by a small margin. An HD 7750 Discrete Video Card would be perfect your setup since it is without fan and would take less space too.

Yes, I saw that the 7750 was a good option, and I could care less about the warranty :p

but would it be worth getting a 7750 for a laptop (as a temporary), or just waiting to buildthis custom build I made? (as I have to sell this computer soon and sell the 7750 to be able to afford the desktop)
