Should I buy GTX 650, 650 Ti or 660?

I'm upgrading my PC, and along with i5-4670, I plan to buy a good GPU.
I can buy GTX 650 for $130, GTX 650 Ti for $190 and GTX 660 for $240 (here in Croatia, don't bother giving me a better deal lol). I know that 660>650Ti>650, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money, therefore I came here to ask for the best price/performance ratio, as well as an advice (do I really need GTX 660?). I'd like to have a great gaming performance, however I don't really need Far Cry 3 on Ultra settings, so any help in choosing the right GPU is welcome.

1080p, 60fps with high settings on FC3 seems really good, so I guess I won't go for 660 (seems like a bit of an overkill). On the other hand, how would 650 perform considering the price? I guess it is worth investing $60 in 650Ti?

The regular 650 will be able to play FC3 at Ultra 1080p with beautiful FPS. I would just say the Ti since it allows you to play more games in the future, as it has more VRAM. Here is a gameplay video of the regular 650 on Ultra 1080p.

Well, I'm sorry but, I wouldn't agree with the guys who've posted already.

Take a look at this,

it's Tom's own review for GPU's on FC3. The 650ti is more or less entry level nowadays (sorry if that irks people, it's the truth) And most certainly will not play FC3 on ultra at 1080p at a smooth consistency. Your gonna get rubbish FPS at those settings. You can see in the review, at medium settings at 1080p it barely gets past 40, and if you like playing First person shooters, you will know that at 40FPS with expected dips in FPS, your gonna have a bad experience.

For the price increase of 50 for the 660 over the 650ti, the 660 is the best choice. It gives you up to 40% sometimes more performance than a 650ti. If you want to enjoy a smooth gaming experience get the 660, it's a good balanced match with your CPU too, and your CPU is excellent for gaming. So why go for an entry level card, when for 50 extra bucks you have a decent card that will serve you well, and isn't overkill. A gtx780 is overkill, but a GTX660 fits nicely, and give you a little tiny bit of room to increase graphical settings in game, to make your experience even nicer.

Just my two cents.

As far as I know below 300 dollar, the best GPU is Nvidia Gtx 760 ($260). The plus point is that its price and performance ratio is best. Its always better to buy newer graphic cards. 760 is slightly better than 660 Ti (~$285). So Its good to have this card over 660 ti. Little noisy and little more power consumption will not disappoint you at all.
Again there is very known old card Amd 7950 ($280) is also good. 7950 and 660 ti not much difference technically on the paper. But the best choice will be 760 go for that only.
I am also going to buy this one ASUS GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC 1 GHz 2 GB this month.
choice is yours.

Apologies for above solution.

For 650 vs 650 ti vs 660...
650 ti great for the gaming, where you can set all gaming settings on high with no lag. You can play all games @1080p high settings. You will find only fps difference.
60 fps is optimal and best, since higher frame rates offer diminishing returns in terms of looks. But again higher resolution for sharper images with smoother edges will require good no. of pixel rates and it will decrease your performance. So lower resolution will be better and it will boost your gaming performance. You can choose on which setting and which resolution game works smoothly. 650 ti does better for most games @1080p resolution 60 fps.
Believe me or not 650 ti is really a great card for the money.
As you are asking that, technically on paper 650 ti has more figures than 650 but in actual does it make any difference worth a money.
I would say, why you dont want to get more @ good price.
You are making good points for your budget friendly nature.
go for 650 ti is worth for price.
650 ti boost gives performance little below 660. If price is below $210 for 650 ti boost you can consider that also.

your nuts! the 650ti at €190 euro's is blind robbery. Too much for too little performance. Not that the 660 at 240 is that much better, but for a 50 euro increase price, and a 40% increase in performance, telling the OP to get a 650ti for 1080p gaming is ludicrous. You obviously don't have a clue.

edit: the 650ti boost isn't a bad option, but if the diff in price is 20-30 euros I would go for the 660. Its a better performer and leave the OP with room to bump up in game settings.

I put it in dollars actually (forgetting that I'm at a co.uk site for a moment), so it's considerably cheaper than that. In fact, I found another version of GTX 650 Ti for just about 125€ and I think I'll go for it. I think 60€ more for 660 is not really worth it. Thanks for advice everyone
