I have Pentium 4 D865GBF motherboard with builtin vga. My computer was working perfectly fine until my CPU which was placed at edge of table fell off the table because of my lil cousin and after that my computer isnt working. The computer turns on but no display.
I tried taking out 256MB & 1GB Ram and placed them correctly one by one but still no display.
Please guide me what to do.

Solution

Basic troubleshooting. Eliminate parts one by one.

1. See if it will boot (from a DVD) as the most basic system possible. 1 stick of RAM, no external graphics.
2. Process of elimination. Take out parts, and swap them in to the other desktop. Boot, swap, boot again. Changing one part at a time.
When it fails to start, that part is probably the broken one. If everything except the motherboard works, one by one, in the other desktop, then the motherboard is probably the failed part.

I did that, I took off all the cables, plugs etc everything and then put them back properly. I also took out the battery (I guess that is of CMOS) and inserted it again.
Still no use, the lights of the cpu switch on but nothing is displayed. Please help :/

Secondly, the problem that I am facing is I cannot see anything, not even the startup intel or the bios screen when I switch on my pc.
The monitor is fine though which I checked by connecting it to another cpu.

HArd to say what might be broken. If you've verified all of the connections, and it still does not work, something major is broken.
Motherboard or PSU would be my first guesses.

Can you give me some guidelines or things to do by checking its parts with another computer?
I do have another desktop with same motherboard at my home

The PSU is fine though because the fan present over the processor runs smooth.

Okay, I'll try doing that and update you with the results which I get :)
P.S Thanks for telling me about the PSU. I'll also try switching on my computer and keeping it on for a minute or two to see if the windows load up by that time and the start up sound is played or not(irrespective of the display being loaded which is the main problem). By that way, it will be confirmed that the PSU is working or not

My computer got knocked over (slimlines are terrible in that respect). I had the same situation. Unplugged everything and put everything back and still nothing. Then I took advice given here to run with just one memory card (switched the slots too) and it came right up. Then I rebooted and threw the other one in where the other one used to be. Windows asked about whether I lost data and I proceeded. It started up with both RAM in at that point and I'm good. I'm not sure what happened and I would love to hear an explanation, but I thank those with that great advice. Maybe BIOS freaked when it temporarily lost RAM. Don't know but very happy.
