Hi, I recently bought a Sony Vaio model SVE14135CXW and succesfully downgraded to w7. I made a clean install with all device drivers downloaded from Sony webpage. The thing is that Sony does not have the Control Center app, which controls the keyboard backlight, for my model on w7. Options are:

Using Control Center intended for a similar model: not that simple, it seems that Sony checks if the target computer is in the list. I tried with a Control Center version for a similar model (Sony customer care itself reccomended me which model) and didn't got installed

Using any other method, like a third party software or hardware control

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance :)

Yes, I have one suggestion. You may install official Windows 8 drivers from sony Website on Windows 7, even if the installer says they can't bee installed on your machine.
How to do so:
1) download the control center app (and other stuff like shared library and sony firmware extension parser driver that you might didn't install on windows 7, cause of that "check" in sony installer).
2) google and download Wise Unpacker free Utility, use it to unpack these files
3) you'll find clean installers inside and inf files for drivers that work and instal perfectly

Here is the demo for how it works when installing SNY5001 sony firmware extension parser driver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq0Pp8d5COQ
It works the same for the other files. Note: Some of sony installers have more than one "clean" installers inside.
That's it.
P.S. I'm russian, so sorry for my English.
