Help with 7870 XT vs 7950

The 7950 just went on sale. My question is which I should buy? I will not be overclocking at all. Please help.

7870XT. Less than 5% performance gap from it to the 7950, also less power consumption

Neither. You can take your pick of stock GTX 760's for the same price as that 7870XT, or for $10 more, take your pick of all the top-end custom GTX 760's. The GTX 760 comes with a free copy of Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

Agreed on the XT over the 7950.

If you would consider Nvidia as an alternative the GTX 760 outperforms the 7950 at 1080p gaming. Here's a EVGA product on Newegg Canada that's in between the two:

17Seconds including the graph as well but the info is solid. The games bundle is a nice option for AMD but the Nvidia will outperform both AMD options for roughly the same price.
