Motherboard and Memory Kit Compatibility

Solution
You are right to check for ram compatibility.
One way is to use the ram vendor's selection app.
For G.skil, here are your results:
http://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=55&chip=1307&model=1380
The ram you posted is on the list.
What is not so good is the 1.65v required to run at that speed.
The high heat spreaders can interfere with some cpu coolers.
And, lastly, new intel cpu's do not deliver significantly faster app performance or fps with ram faster than 1600. Read this:

I might suggest this kit instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231606

Solution
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130691

says:

Number of Memory Slots = 4×240pin
Memory Standard = DDR3 3000(OC)/2800(OC)/2600(OC)/2200(OC)/2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066
Maximum Memory Supported = 32GB
Channel Supported = Dual Channel

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231589

says:

Capacity = 16GB (2 x 8GB)
Speed = DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200)
Cas Latency = 10
Timing = 10-12-12-31
Voltage = 1.65V
Multi-channel Kit = Dual Channel Kit

Some peeps would be concerned about the 1.65 volts but intel web site says they don't have a problem with it . Still lower voltage would help ya ruin cooler and i don't see 2400 as being supported by the MoBo in newegg's description....may wanna dig further on that.

I like these DDR3-1866 CAS 9's

That article you linked me to address sandy bridge processors. Is there somewhere I should be looking?

How much hotter would it run with the 1.65 volts instead of 1.5v?

Yes, the article is a bit old. But it addresses the benefit of the newer intel cpu's which have a excellent integrated ram controller that is able to keep the processor fed with data from even slow ram. It would be equally applicable to ivy bridge and haswell.
