Should I buy a new bios chip or cpu?

I just bought a asus m5a99x evo and a amd fx 4170. I have heard that the bios has to be up to date to run the new fx processors, so should i get a older cpu that is supported by my bios version to update the bios or buy a new bios chip that is updated. I'm going more along the cheaper route considering I already spent 800$ on my first custom build.

I cant post with the motherboard, so i cant update it, from what i heard all i need to do is update it, but i cant access it with my current cpu. What i was asking was to get a cpu to post and update or just get an updated bios chip.

The CPU light is on and red, standby power light is on and green and the light for one of those switches on the bottom is on and green, it makes no beeps but everything is on, at this point would you guys think it is just my graphics card not sending signal?

At the top 2 pci e x16 my graphics card runs 100% fan speed but only the bottom 1 its fans run at a normal speed, their are 3 x16 PCI e slots available and only the bottom one makes the graphics cards fans run normal, and still no output of video from either port.

I have an HDMI plugged into my radeon HD 5770 and a rgb via a rgb to dvi converter, no signal from either monitor but this graphics card works fine in my other PC just 10 minutes ago.

to live before a signal beeps, lights will run from MEM OK - CPU-Chipset, and then there will be a beep.
if one of the third stop running / or solid then certainly there is a lack of fit between the CPU / Motherboard and RAM .. if it is audible beep and did not get an image signal, it is necessary conveter suitable for GPU or maybe less correct installation .. hope don't confuse with my language .. and good luck

Its just a bad board at this point, I started it with no ram inserted and it does not beep, it does the same thing that happens no matter what I change in the system, whether I remove ram CMOS battery or graphics card.
