I'm looking To build a computer for 400$ or less. I want to build a computer (via youtube tutorials) but i have no idea about parts. I want the computer to be able to play minecraft on High settings with around 60 fps. Also be able to play battle field 3 with no lag. Any idea on how to get the right parts for This would be Awesome. Thanks!

Solution
You can use the $400 build in my sig as a starting point.

Beyond that, there's a few questions
- Do you you have a longer list of games you want to play on it?
- will this be a pure gaming machine?
- do you need to buy an OS
- do you need to buy any peripherals? (mouse, keyboard, monitor, headphone/speakers)

All the things quilciri mentioned should come into consideration. If you don't have an OS or peripherals, you're looking at $200 minimum spent already without even one core component in your computer. However, there are youtube videos available that show you what you need to build a budget gaming PC for $350. Make sure to look at the dating on those videos though because you might be able to do better if the videos are old.
