Cheap but good motherboard for i5 3570K + HD7850?

Hello,

I would like to buy a motherboard for this configuration:

INTEL Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz 1155 BOX
KINGMAX 4GB DDR3 1333MHz x 2
XFX HD7850 1GB GDDR5 PCIE
CHIEFTEC 500W BOX

Don't need OC or anything fancy.

For maximum around 75 pounds.

Thanks in advance!

  1. If you are dead set against OCing you should save some money and get the clock-blocked non-k version and any asus/giga/asrock/msi h87 mobo in your price range.

If u ever plan to OC get any z87 board from the same four board makers (love mine). Throw in a Evo or Gaia cooler.

Edit: 75 pounds is really heavy. Most mobos weigh less than 2 pounds...

Exacty why would he want to get a Z87 or H87(1150) motherboard for a 1155 CPU? That does not make any sense at all. Unless you made a typo?

At any rate you would want a H77 or Z77 motherboard since the H87 and Z87 based boards are for Haswell(1150) CPU's.
  3. Bah - missed that - ya z77 or better yet stay z87 and get a 4670k or the locked equivalent.
