Hey looking to spend about 350-400 for an upgrade.

Currently have...
CPU: phenom ii x4 955 @4.0
GPU: radeon 6850

Wondering if i should grab a i5-4670k and z87 mobo (about 360)
or picking up a radeon 7950 or nvidia 670

Im kind of leaning towards cpu/mobo and getting a better gpu later, but not sure.

Any suggestions?

For current and future pc titles.

thanks in advance.

I would keep your current CPU and motherboard and invest in a new GPU. It will depend on the games you play and what resolution you play them at, but that would likely give you a lot better value. It's sad to say, but the 4 year old Phenom is actually still pretty viable. Especially since you are running at 4Ghz.

The 6850 is a pretty weak card for modern games at decent settings.

The GTX 760 is a pretty good value at $250 and you could put the other $150 back for a CPU upgrade down the road.

Buddy , your CPU is not bad ... you should Upgrade your GPU first to something like HD 7870 or GTX 760

then keep some money for an CPU Upgrade ...

you should be fine with Your CPU + HD 7870 for 230 ~ 250 $ for decent games !!

Btw , what Rams Are you using ? how many GB ?
