Hello, hoping someone else out there has recently made the same upgrade. I thought the 470 was, or has been, a great card. For the money, just adding another 470 seems hard to beat, if I could find a good used one for $75-100. But, they are certainly not known for reliability and who know how much more life my card or the next used card has left. If I am going to shell out another $400, I want to knock the socks off this 470, otherwise wait another year for something that really will. Besides the games, I am running Adobe applications, to toss a wrench in the choices out there. Any suggestions?

Something like the 690 or 770 would completely outperform that card in every way. Something like those, or the AMD equivalent the 7950 or 7970. If you really want something to destroy that card, with the 9000 series from amd coming out, you can expect a 400 dollar card from that to outperform most sub 1000 dollar cards on the market today. You would be best off getting a new card rather than sli.

GTX 770 would be a perfect choice, however unless you feel you have to upgrade now, should be worth waiting for the next generation of AMD or even nvidis's next generation, next year.
