Hi there, I've read reviews and information for days now, but if you had to choose between a 500 with i5 3470, Radeon HD 8570 for $1000 or 2412 with i7 3770,geforce gt630 for $1200...both 8MB,2tb hdd..and want to play Skyrim....which would you choose? Potentially with a 27" monitor....I'm still learning this stuff, please bear with me...

Both of those are a horrible deal. The graphics they come with are bottom of the barrel and won't run Skyrim well at all. You could build a PC for $500 that could play it much better than either one of those.

For $1200 you could easily max Skyrim and most other games at 1080p with a custom built PC.

Building your own PC sounds scary but is a really simple and fun process. There are many guides out there and any of us here would be more than willing to help you choose parts for a build.
