I recently got my 2nd gtx 680 and am now running them in SLI however there are a few issues. As of now, no matter what game or bench that i am running, both cards are only getting about 40-60 percent usage. I am running them no a i7 3770k oc to 4.5ghz with an h100. I first thought it was my cpu giving me issues, however, I am now beginning to think it is my power supply. I have a corsair cx 750. would having an oc to 4.5 along with an h100 as well as 1 ssd and 1 hdd cause a bottleneck? Is my power supply causing the performance of my two 680s to suffer?

Solution
CX is a bit weak IMO for SLI .... Id want at least a TX V2 series, better yet an HX or AX

Download and run OCCT GPU tests (use window mode so ya can peek at Afterburner) with Afterburner running. Make sure AB showing GPU usage for both cards. Check voltage and temps while running (OCCT will graph then) ... 60 minute run is enough.

As for 750 watts, nvidia wants 745 minimum

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-680/specifications

Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) = 195 W
Minimum System Power Requirement (W) = 550 watts

You have MORE then enough power with a 750W

This setting changed? Vsync enabled?

also, when I increase the refresh rate on my monitor to 120hz the computer "sticks" and freezes whenever I opne programs, ive only managed to get 1 of my monitors to work witht he dual gpu set up, when I add the other the freezing begins.

edit: also single card set up works great. i get 99 percent usage and able to use 120hz on dual monitors.

No. Just enable SLI in the Nvidia control panel

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 680 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 680 SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 750 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina

thanks for the input. i ran a few more benches and apparently my cards are actually performing above average even though the gpu usage says its low (maybe a bug?). I scored 1820 on unigine heaven 4.0 which seems to be a pretty normal score for gtx 680s in sli. the usage was worrying me but as long as im getting the performance maybe it is just a bug with reading the gpus.
