I installed a cooler master hyper 212 evo heatsink on my cpu, but three days later while checking something in my pc, my hand rubbed against the heatsink and it slid a bit clockwise. I moved it back to how it was originally but I'm afraid that it rubbed off some of the thermal paste. Should i remove the heatsink and reapply the thermal paste or is it ok?

Were you monitoring your temps before the slide? lol. If you were, I say don't go threw the trouble if they haven't gone up much.

Unless your heat starts registering too high, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you are going for significant overclocks, I would. Otherwise its probably not necessary.

But how did it slide? That means it isn't mounted right.
