I formatted my hard drive today to get rid of all the junk. When I go into ASUS bios it is not there nor is it there for the windows 7 setup. When I plug it into my other rig it shows up in seconds to My Computer. What can I do? Should I replace the hard drive? My DVD drive works/ is detected. I tested all sata plugs/cables with the hard drive. It was working fine before I formatted it.

set HDD mode to IDE if it is set in AHCI and check if this resolves the issue. Locate this setting in BIOS. Set and reboot.
