Hi guys,
I have to be honest, I think I have caught the self-build bug! In addition to a medium budget htpc, I now wish to build a mini desktop for my parents.
The simple purpose for this is to have a snappy web browser, which can handle some YouTube / Netflix activity and possibly Microsoft office for the odd document or two. This is what I have so far:
Case: Habey EMC-600B (with stock power supply)
Storage: 60GB SSD (undecided on brand at the moment)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Nano AMD E350 Mini ITX 8GB DDR3 Bundle - Dual Core OR Gigabyte Nano H61 Intel Celeron G540 2.60GHz Mini ITX 4GB DDR3 Bundle - Dual Core.
Cooling: Passive cooling due to space limitations.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Which MOBO/CPU will give me the most bang for my buck (if enough) and whether passive cooling will be realistic for these given what I intend to do with the computer?
Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers all.
