I had a virus when I either updated microsoft silverlight or downloaded adobe flash. the virus being scc security and not letting me do anything or watch videos offline without sending me t it pay for page at 99.00 i could nt click out of it without it coming back up , also the EN.V9.com broswer. after going into safe mode upon computer start up i was able to restore to an earlier version ( scc would not let me do this in normal mode) i downloaded free malaware which got rid of both virus's but i lost my sound. I bought reg cure but no not avail so how do i get my money back? . then I ran free avg pc tune up and noticed I still had 491 junk files and 17 registry errors which were all 32:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT|AUDIOCD|SHELL|PLAY|COMMAND etc related . I need my sound back as I play music at weddings to earn a living? please help. I will in the meantime try cc cleaner, but really dont want to restore to the virus date to get my sound back then try reg cure and find it dosent work.
Before anyone makes suggestions, I have checked all volumes, levels, drivers, updated drivers not required, I have no computer sound whatsoever, My laptop is a Toshiba win 7 satellite L650/L650D &L655 /L655D

Solution
The L560 models should have come with Windows 7, and Toshiba would have drivers for it. Do not check for driver updates automatically, that only searches the Windows database and may not have what you need. You may need to contact Toshiba support to get the drivers for your system, but it should have them online.
You'd get your money back by contacting whoever you bought the progam from. Go into Device Manager, remove the sound card hardware from there. Download the drivers from Toshiba's support site, and re-install them. All those fix PC programs will not help you, they may try to delete the registry entries but won't "fix" them.

Hiya Tom thanks I have contacted safeguard which apparently the licence ref refers to and they have a uk nbr 0044 1429243124 if anyone else has a problem getting contact info and will see what happens tomorrow when I phone them asking for my money back.

regarding removing my soundcard hardware from the device manager - do I have a sound card I know there are differences but not sure what? I have in my device manager :- in Sound, video and game controllers 3 which are:___ apowersoft_audiodevice, Conexant audio driver for amd hdmi codec, and Conexant cx20671 smartaudio HD. but when I checked to update them they said I have the latest and it does not update. are these the 3 soundcards?
--I took your advice to search on support Toshiba but it will not recognise my serial number which is YA485407Q - is it that they no longer support windows 7 ? also by putting in my satellite number only the first 4 letters/nbrs correspond not the rest? so what seemed like a simple solution is still turning out to be a nightmare! I do not dare uninstall my drivers until I get the correct ones- AM not sure when you are online to reply and help me but it looks like this is going into day 5 of hell ! hoping your email will make me happy again - cheers Bianka

awaiting your kind reply.. bianka
