So I need to play some Blu-rays on my pc and was hoping to save a bit of money by using my old laptops blu-ray drive.. The laptop is broken so I will have to get it to work with my desktop.
After looking around awhile I found some adapters, I'm just a bit doubtful if these ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Startech-SATA-Optical-Drive-Adapter/dp/B0024CV3VW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373898706&sr=8-1&keywords=SATA+to+Slim+Optical+IDE+Drive+Adapter ) are for what I want to do.. I know from installing my current DVD drive that it needs both a sata power and data cable to work, this adapter only allows for a data cable...?
If anyone could suggest what I should be looking for instead, or how to power my drive with that adapter that would be great!
