Not weird. My now wife bought me a DS for our first christmas back when I was 21, and I had a ton of fun with it. If you travel a lot, a PS Vita or 3DS is a great investment.

Not weird at all! There are some great games on the 3DS like Pokemon (yes), Monster Hunter 3U, Legend of Zelda remakes, Kingdom Hearts, etc.
