[sorry if I posted this in the wrong section]
Alright, so here was the original problem..
My mum contacted me stating that her computer, when she attempts to turn it on, the display says no input, it turns on and sounds like its working etc..
It was previously working fine the previous day.
I tested the gfx card, monitor, and cables and they all worked fine.
I concluded that potentially it was a bad pci-e slot.
I purchased a new motherboard and installed it.
Now when I press the power button, nothing happens.
Everything seemed like it was connected correctly. I thought I messed up with the input cables for the power button, but it is correctly installed.
I confirmed this by unplugging the atx connector and pressing the power button, that may not have been the correct way to test it, but the fans did turn on for a split second.
Plug the atx connector back in and nothing.

At this point I am thoroughly confused.
Maybe I am missing something stupid or what?
Thanks in advance.

This is the mobo I purchased.

Alright, the first test did nothing.

I can do this, but it doesn't power on at all, so I do not believe post codes would come through yet.

I would assume they are compatible. I have not seen anything indicating they are not.

I am not familiar with this at all, Please, go on.
Thanks for the reply.

Alright, the first test did nothing.

The psu test when I used the paperclip fans turned on and it seems like it was powering on.
So.. that means the psu is good then. correct?
Now what?
