Hey, i recently bought my cpu for a budget gaming build for around £430. I have a richland athlon x4 760k Black edition and didnt do my research. found out kaveri would be coming out soon and might not support FM2 and will use FM2+ , or will it fit in an Fm2? so is my cpu good for another few years? i dont really have the funds to make this build all over again but so far i am happy with performance ( BF3 tweaked High settings with a 7770). i can also overclock as within a week of me posting this i will have my Cooler master Hyper 212 evo arriving in the mail. any help is appreciated,
Many thanks

Yeah it would not be a problem for 1-2 years but maybe after 1 year due to more modern games u have to change the processor it would b better if u got fx or atleast phenom series processor but for thr time it would catch up with the games at bottleneck but in future u need to overclock ur cpu for performance future game would need

Thamks dont forget to close the post if u r satisfied by my answer

I cant really do alot thats why im worried. Not alot more exists for Fm2 except the a10-6800k which is basically my cpu with an intergrated GPU. I mean ive seen people overclock the a10-5800k to nearly 5Ghz and my cpu is a little better performance wise as its richland and that is trinity. My cpu is a little bit worse than an I5-4430 and more equal to around an I3-3220. and people dont say that the I3 3220 is bad or will only last a year due to more modern games. I really dont know if i made the right choice

Ive also seen rumours that Kaveri will be backwards compatible with FM2 but not have the GDDr5 or DDR4 support. either way having faster ram doesnt bother me too much, its just that steamroller is also rumoured to be around a 20% performance increase

It's always around "a 20% increase", Then (they will claim) there are a driver issue as to why YOU do not see that in your machine.
