Unreal tournament 2004; does it work on my Acer Extensa 4230?? Help

I have an Acer Extensa 4230 laptop.
2.1ghz, 2gb ram, 798mb video memory, 120gb hdd......
Have windows 7 32bit on it.
So, i bought the "Unreal Tournament 2004" game cd Yesterday, for less than $3.
Tryed to install it, but only succeeded halfway!
Returnd to the shiop, bought a new disk........., same result.
So, i brought the laptop along with me to the shop today!
We decided to copy the files in the disk before installin, and even that was impossible.
Finally we used multile disks of the same game and : copy,eject, copy, eject:......after all , copyin was complete, installation was complete.
Icon was on homescreen.
When double clickd the UT2004 icon, a sudden prompt box appear sayin,
Plz Insert oringinal UT2004 disk into drive.
Tried that, nothing happens.
Put it in compoatibility mode: windows xp serv pak 2,3; win vista, win 2000.
Nothing works!!

The same window appears sayin "plz insert original ut2004 disk....."

i'm totally fed up now.
Can anyone help me get tru this annoyin problem!

You should grab the patches for the game. I remember when I played ut2k4 they released a patch that let you launch the game without the disk

does the laptop have switchable graphics?

using multiple discs may not have helped? don't know. never did that.

I just started it in W7 with no cd and it works.

what other games have you played on it? intel graphics aren't great for gaming, especially older forms.

No, it has some old intel graphics, not even the HD graphics!
But i play Halo CE at low settings, and works fine.
NFS underground 1, Project IGI 1,2.
Oh, and i'm a CS 1.6 freak, and play that alot too on my Same Acer Extensa 4230.

So, since i play Halo, wont i be able to play UT2004??
I wud be happy even if the game OPENS!!
As i said, whenever i try to play it, it says, plz insert original ut2004 disk into drive!
Did that too, and it says,:-
Wrong disk inserted, plz insert original -.-

Hope u guys cud help me in this one?
I really want to ut2004 so bad.
I love that game.
Havent playd it, but i remember how my elder cousins used to play it on their PCs when i was abt 12 yrs old.(i'm 19 now).

guess you missed myself and the other guy above about being able to launch the game with no disc?

I didn't patch anything and it worked. the guy above said he patched????? do some homework........... google is your friend............ well, the NSA's friend.

But actually, the disk shud have all these Extras right?
I dont think my lap does support DX9 though (i even dont know wat is Direct X

)
overall, but troubleshooting the game, it says device not compatible.
So i tryed changin the OS mode, still no success

I'm typin all these tru my Nokia C3-00, and Tomshardware is the best place i can rely on gainin proper, valid solutions (thanks to u guys).
If u guys just tell me why the game is not launchin, is it coz of the graphics card?
So wat abt halo CE?
