Approximate Purchase Date: this week

Budget Range: $1500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the web, video watching. I want it to be able to play games, Skyrim, Path of Exile, and future next generation games, with high video settings and high performance with ease.

Parts Not Required: This is going to be a build from scratch.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I want to get everything from newegg.

Country: NYC USA

Parts Preferences: Honestly, I have no clue. This is my first build and I'm not too familiar with computers. Anything that is well renowned, trusted and doesn't have bad reviews.

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: I'm upgrading to this from my laptop so I'm not too sure about resolutions-nothing huge.

Additional Comments: This is going to be a build from scratch so I'm going to need a wireless adapter, decent mouse/keyboard/speakers, and sound card. Do you guys think I should get a SSD along with it too? Not sure if I left anything out. Also, I don't know if i should go with Win7 or Win8. Thanks in advance for looking over this, I really appreciate it.

Solution

Windows 8 is said to be buggy with several games and I think 7 is a safer option for now. In the link, I included 8 because I could not find the system builder's Windows 7 Professional in its list, it should be around $100-130, the same as Windows 8 Professional

Solution
In case you are wondering about my processor choice, I chose the AMD FX8350 due to the optimizations made by future console ports (Next Gen Consoles now use 8-Core AMD Jaguars). The upcoming Battlefield 4 is a notable example of AMD optimizations.
