Ill try to keep this short and as specific as possible.

Had a computer that had several HDD's hooked up to it. I used it as an HTPC and was constantly downloading, but also playing games at the same time. It started to have an issue where it would lock upa few minutes after playing the game while the downloads were going. The game was installed on an SSD and the downloads were saving to a WD Black 2TB.

The machine was old so I figured I'd just go ahead and build a new one. Built a new one and the same issue is occurring. Playing a game, watching a show and downloading and the system will freeze.

Ive tried disconnected all HDD's except for one and the SSD and its still getting the problem of locking up. Also, bought a new HDD thinking it was bad, and installed game on that drive - still locks up.

Event log is not showing anything leading up to the crash except for the error of Kernal - power/improper shutdown.

Current system specs:
OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit
CPU: Intel i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz
Mobo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
SSD: Samsung 840
Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8GB
Video: Gigabyte GV-N660OC
HDD1: WD 1TB
HDD2: WD 1TB
HDD3: Seagate 2TB
HDD4: Seagate 2TB

I think it has something to do with the disc cache? It only seems to happen when I am downloading at a high rate (2MB/s+) when the system starts to lock up. Ive tried disabling the disc cache, raising it, but not sure if this is the cause or what.
