Wierdest problem I've ever had:
A stormy night I decided to unplug the PSU to ensure system's safety in the case the power line cuts off. Later when I try to turn it on the system would turn the "on" LED on the case and fans would start spinning for a fraction of a second then shut down completely, also the two 7-segment debug digits show a 0 for the same amount time, not a complete digit and not in both led's but only on one.
Attempts to turn it back on did nothing unless the PSU is switched off and on again. At that time the problem was solved by re-sitting the cpu in the socket but any time I unplug the PSU, this problem will reappear. Re-sitting the CPU would not suffice to make the system start up correctly after the first time. The following procedure is what I do bypass the problem: press (not holding it down) CMOS_CLR switch while the psu is plugged in, wait to see if the 7-segments debug leds show a clear number. Repeat until debug leds show correctly and then system starts booting up. Also my memories (Corsair Dominator Platinum) have aesthetic leds which only turn on when the error does not present itself.
I changed PSU, ram, and even the graphics card with brand new products since the problem appeared.
Also asked for a friends CPU to test if it was the CPU's fault. And changed the button battery cell with a brand new one as official Gigabyte technical service suggested.
Sometimes instead of turning completely off it keeps powered but does nothing (fans running at full speed) and the leds that show which BIOS is running from switch back from each other every second.
At this point the only thing I can think of is sending it back to RMA.
