chkdsk ran through ok, but still error 11 on ATAPI

Is there a way to conclusively check if my hard drive is on the way out? Or do I just buy a new one and see if that changes things?

Download Seatools and run the diagnostics. The software is free and will give you a good indication of your drives health.
