If i was running a mobo that supported both speeds and both ram stick types in question were, for example, g.skill ripjaws, would they run together or would i run into problems. Any assistance is appreciated!

Solution
I advise against buying additional sticks and mixing them as it can and often is problematic, however, if you already have the sticks, what sets do you have and what CPU and mobo, we 'might' get them to play nice with each other

Mmmmm, im building a new rig and recycling parts. RAM happens to be one of the easiest for me to recycle, but there is a sale on newegg for the 1600 ripjaws. I thought that maybe the compatibility problems would be very low with them both being ripjaws (mine being 1333) but if thats not the case, then theres no need to go through the hassle. Ill just stick to my 8 gigs of 1333 and not drop 50 bucks on a gamble. Thanks tradesman!
