Hello everyone,

I have a GTX 690, and I wonder is the 700 series just plain better?
I've seen benchmarks that have said "They are side by side", and "The 700 series is so much better" Viceversa, does anyone have a good and precise benchmarklist that uses the gtx 690's double GPU etc. etc.

Since you already have a gtx 690, there is no reason to switch to the 700 series. You already have the most powerful gpu on the market. Technically two gtx 770's or gtx 780's will be more powerful if you really did want to switch.

The 700 series uses the same architecture as the 600 series, they're the same GPUs just sometimes in different configurations. The GTX 690 has two of the exact same GPUs you find in the GTX 770. They're just clocked a little higher in the 770. So two GTX 770s in SLI are going to be a little faster than a GTX 690. But they'll take up two slots and use more power in the process, so it's not a great leap forward by any means.

The chip on the GTX 7xx cards are really the same. The cards have been refined some from the 6xx but inefect are the same. There is no reason I can think of to sidegrade.

The 760 is a nerfed 770. the 770 hardware wise is exactly like the 680 except with a 6+8 power delivery, better vram and innate gpu boost 2.0 for more aggressive automatic clocks. a 780 is a slightly gimped titan. and well, titan is nearly a full cluster kepler gpu with a smx unit disabled. the 7xx series isnt 100% better, its just that the 780/Titan simply has more SMX units, while gpu boost 2.0 helps lead the 770 to be better than the 680 since its more aggressive than gpu boost 1.0. the PPC between the 680/770 is more or less the same.
