hey everyone, just got this case for my new system, and i want to take off the sliding cover over the optical drive area, whats the easiest way to do it?
Ah, so you only want to remove the sliding part. My guess is is that it runs on plastic ridges on the front of the case and can be popped right off. This actually explains what you need to do. http://www.overclock.net/t/1244408/disassembling-the-cm-cosmos-ii-case-for-painting-modding You have to remove some parts to get the slider off, but that should be easy. That link is to remove everything once the front panel is off you should be fine to reassemble.
If it uses a standard front panel mounts there shoud be four to six platic clips on the inside of the front of the case.with your finger pull the clips away from the metal tabs not to hard to snap them. The front panel should fall off.
Check the manual for help on that, with my 430 elite i had to reach under the front panel and pull off the front panel from there. I Imagine that one is the same.
