I just set up a new hard drive (WD1002FAEX, new) in an external enclosure (Vantec NexStar HX) on a Win7 laptop.
I am feeling insecure whether I did it correctly, because I never quite understood Advanced Format and how it might interact with using an enclosure.
When I run the command "fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo O:" I get, among other information:
O:\>fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo O:
...
Bytes Per Sector : 512
Bytes Per Physical Sector : <Not Supported>
Bytes Per Cluster : 4096
Bytes Per FileRecord Segment : 1024
I'm puzzled why I'm seeing 512 Bytes Per Sector if the drive is Advanced Format? Did I do it wrong? Thanks!
