Hi guys ,
I have a really big problem .
I have HIS radeon HD 5770 - 8GB ram DDR3 - AMD phenom II X4 945 black edition 3.6 GHz but I have a really bad 160GB hard drive .
games on my PC are running really bad . for example Assassin's Creed III . It is working on 10-15 frames/Sec . I reduced my resolution and i over clocked my graphics card but it was working on the same frame rate
I thought that it is because of my graphics card but when I watched gameplays for assassin's creed III on youtube for people who have radeon HD 5770 I found that this game is working in 30-35 while recording although my PC is stronger than their PCs .

I have no free space on my hard drive and I mean it .
I deleted the hiberfil.sys and the pagefile, sys from my hard disk .

should I buy a new hard disk or my games will work in the same frame rate ?

I would suggest doing a few tests on your HDD first before you decide to buy another one just for gaming. They don't affect gaming much, you'll notice load times being faster but that's pretty much it. I don't know a whole lot about how it works but if you are just standing there in the game your HDD would be done reading/writing and the game would technically run smooth because it's no longer using it? I would normally say you don't have enough...

yes a new hard drive would be in your best interest
most games don't depend too much on the hard drive while you're actually playing because your computer preloads MOST of the game files
however assassin's creed is different you're constantly having to fetch game files and if you have a crappy hdd it'll have a big impact on your gameplay

Definitely, this. I've recently learned that it's basically loading times that differ when it comes to hard drives and games. Some games work differently with loading: some load everything on startup, and some load from map to map. If you're looking to be on a budget, grab a WD 1TB. They're around 60-ish dollars. However, if loading times aren't your thing, go for an SSD for speedy loading times for pretty much everything in general (your OS, programs, etc).

What do you mean "really bad hard drive?" Are you saying it is old or dying? I played AC3 on a 500GB 5400RPM with absolutely no problems. Saying 160GB doesn't give much information as size of HDD would not affect performance.

I mean that it is old and it has no free disk space :(

I would normally say you don't have enough RAM because most games just load the entire level in ram but 8GB is more than enough.
