I built a gaming computer with the intent of gaming at 1440p. I have an i5-3570 and a 2GB gtx 770. My budget is anywhere from $200-$700. There doesn't seem to be the "perfect" monitor in this range, they all seem to have their issues. Also, is there any disadvantage to getting a monitor that will support 3d? Have you guys had any good/bad experiences with these monitors or can you recommend any to me? Thanks.

To my knowledge, there arent any available 120hz 1440p displays on the market. That said, your budget is right on for several great choices. I'd personally recommend the Ultrasharp 2713HM or 2713H. Both can be found for decent deals. Tom's Deals recent had the older 2711 for under 500.00, but some folks dont care for the aggressive anti-glare...which they dont use for the newer displays mentioned above.

If youre looking to spend as little as possible, alot of folks dig their Catleap 1440p displays...thats just one value option.

There are those Korean overclockable monitors. Reading through forums, they seem legit enough, and for some reason are "dirt cheap" ($300-$600) for 1440p.

+1 on the Dell U2713HM. Though my recommendation is the ASUS PB278Q. For the absolute best pixel response IPS/PLS I'd want full control over the RTC overdrive via settings, and the Dell won't give you that.
