So i was wondering if it would be beneficial to run dual graphics with my a8 6600k and my r7850 or if it was even possible. If so how would i go about doing it.

Solution

I'm sorry that you had to waste your money :( honestly dude why didn't you ask us on the forums before making the purchase? Now you're stick with a APU that's weak in the processing department and you're purchasing a HD7850 (What was the point of getting the APU then?) I sincerely hope you can return the whole system and get yourself a FX-6300 and a HD7850 since the APU is practically useless if you're not going to be using the IGP on it. Also the dual graphics only apply if you're running a HD7750/HD6670

Dual graphics is useless imo and lower performance than a 7750. You are much better off with what you have. There is nothing wrong with an apu's performance or price.

Btw they can dual with 6450 up to the 6670 and 7450-7670 which are only oem rebrandings.

Yes. Try your best to return the CPU/MOBO and get a FX-6300/6350 if you can with a decent 970 chipset motherboard which will perhaps last you a while even when next gen hits the market.

Think what u really need. Only if u go for heavy gaming should u return your A8-6600k and your mobo. Think twice, don't be hush.

Besides, rumor says AMD may launch steamroller CPU (Also APUs pairing with GPU around HD 7750) in 2014, claims much better than nowadays pilediver CPU. Again, think before making decision.

Im going to return the mobo and cpu. First of all i will gain almost 50 bucks back with the return since the new mobo and cpu will be that mich cheaper and also i think it will be better for upgrading in the future since the new mobo has the more used socket type. By the way man i have an hd7850 and honestly in a year or so that is gonna get upgraded. Anyways i appriciate all of your inputs yall have been extremely helpful. Thank you
