Have an emachine T5026 and the HD crapped out. I have a 2.5" SATA drive that I swap in and out of a couple of other PCs that has Win7 installed.

I hooked that HD up in the T5026 but it won't boot. It sees the HD in the BIOS (SATA 1) and its set to boot to CD then HD, but after a minute I just get a flashing line in the top left corner of gray screen.

I tried booting to HD first then the CD and get same thing.
PC was fine prior to this and will boot from a Fedora cd just fine.

Any clue as to how to fix this please?

I have used this same HD with this install of Win7 in 2 different desktops and 1 laptop and have never encountered this before. Sure hate to have to reinstall Win 7 on a perfectly fine working HD...
