Hi all, I have a simple question. I play Counter Strike A LOT, and I've had servers before, paying companies, but now, I have bought servers, permanently, so, like, they're empty, they're not being used, how do i use one server to make a gaming server, like regular paid companies do? Thankz

The only difference between setting up a server on your PC and one on a separate system is where you do the work. http://www.cstrike-planet.com/tutorial/1-Creating-a-Counter-Strike-Server

You'll probably want to use the Linux setup so you don't have to buy another Windows license. If this will be setup on your network you will also have to setup port forwarding on the router to pass external connections to the server.

idk know what you need really, hopefully somebody else pokes their head in. If you have a server you built in your home then you just install everything like the first non video link shows. and if it someplace else they would either help you or you would upload your own software onto it.

A dedicated hosting service, dedicated server, or managed hosting service is a type of Internet hosting in which the client leases an entire server not shared with anyone else.
I do not think the google search i did was a dedicated server.
