Hi, im leaning towards buying the evga gtx 650 ti boost superclocked 2gb, but i've read somewhere that it needs 24 amps on the +12v rail. I am currently using and hoping to still use my AcBel ce2 500w psu, but im not sure if it can supply the 24 amps required by the gpu. The psu label says it has a max load of 17A on +12v1 and 19A on +12v2. I know my psu is not that good but i would like to use what i do have atm, im just not sure if it can supply enough power for the gpu that i am looking to buy.

Solution
while AcBel is not a recommended or reliable brand for psu, it should do the job

your total 12v output should be 17+19A so that meets the minimum requirement for the gtx650 and some more

You have enough watts (min is 450W) i would recomend a better psu that is 80plus

I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post it here, but is there a low profile version of the gtx650 ti boost, they all seem to be full-height. Although the Colorful iGame GTX 650 Ti Boost looks like a low-profile.

I happened to notice your post while reading around. I just upgraded from a GTX 550 ti to a GTX 650 TI Boost SC 2 gb, the PSupply I had was 600 watt but 12V @ 19 Amps, it was fine while surfing the net, streaming, SP games however every time I joined MP my PC would crash in 2 mins. just bought Antec HCG 620 watt, 80+, 12 v @ 52A and it's running good.
