Do psu and cpu have compatibility?

I have a I5 4430 haswell and a cx500m corsair psu, my mate said to me just now that he didnt think this psu was compatibile with haswell cpu's, i was not aware of psu and cpu compatibility, is this true and is there any compatibility issues between psu and cpu's, any help would be muchly appriacted thanks in advance,

They will work together just fine. No worries.

Haswell will still work just fine with most power supplies, but you may have to disable your lower power sleep states to maintain stability (in the BIOS).
