Hello everyone, I am having issues with my year old home built pc while gaming. It will randomly turn itself off, no shutdown or restart, it just turns off. I have ran Memtest, Furmark and Heaven 3 looping overnight and no problems. I have about 20 other games including Crysis 3 that run very well. My issue games seem to be BF3, Tomb Raider(2013) and Arma II whether or not CF is on.
The build contains...
I5 2500k - not oc'd at the moment
2x Visiontek HD 6950 GPU
4x 2gb 2133 Avexir ram
PC P&C TK1 SW 1000 watt PSU
MSI Z77-GD65
Numark Digital Audio Interface

I'm currently using catalyst driver 13.1 but have also tried rolling back to 12.1 and 12.4.
12.4 ran Bf3 when CF was off without issues but Arma and TR still turned off.
Also I did clean the dust out my heatsinks and fans with no difference. I am running out of ideas to try and I'm beginning to believe maybe my PSU may be the culprit. How could I confirm this? Or is there another option to check

sounds like a bad PSU...had the same thing with mine. even the voltmeter/multimeter I was using to test showed a steady 12v...but the crashes were so random and bad that I switched it out and haven't had an issue since.

Thats what I was afraid of but kinda expected. Too bad, it was a spendy power supply a few years ago. Hey thanks for the suggestion though.
