Solution
I think you will see very little improvement by overclocking the CPU. If your dipping in the 1-5 fps range now you might see an improvement of 2-5 fps if your lucky, not really worth it to me. But if you do decide to go that route I would suggest an aftermarket CPU cooler.

What game are you playing? Overall your system is out of date, I am not surprised by the low performance. You should look into a stronger CPU, graphics card, and at least 8GB of RAM. Monitor your gpu and cpu load while your in the thick of it, you will probably see that one or more of those parts are holding you back.

You meet the minimum requirements but not the recommended requirements. I think you will be just fine if you can bump up to their listed recommended specs.

The GPU was "announced and demonstrated on June 16, 2008" and CPU "in December 2008" . Consumer PCs last 5 years and your now into that 5th year.

FYI MINIMUM settings means the game will run (though you may be 1-5fps it is still 'running'). Recommended is the minimum settings having a positive gaming experience (hence look at recommended NOT minimum). Your system is way out of date and won't support 'heavy' use (when battles happen with many combatants). And if you could play the game on LOW but nothing else, that tells you your system is needing of replacement.

$300+ Walmart PC (suggest i5 Core), swap out the PSU $99, swap out video card $100+ done! New system, latest OS, still under warranty, and not too much expense that can be stretched out as you spend/save/spend...

Hello my friend
Thanks for your reply,Unfortunately i am from greece and i cant buy from wlmart.com :/ ...I totaly agree with your post but i havent the funds to make the big changes on my current system.Let me tell you the full system spec:

CPU: AMD PHENOM II 955 3,2 ghz
GPU: ATI HD4890
RAM: 4 GB DDR3 (1x4 GB )
MOBO: Msi 760ga-p43 fx
PSU: CoolerMaster GX Series 650W
MONITOR: Time 19" LCD TV LA-1900 W

I think with an OC my cpu will be ok (my temps is very very good).

Unfortunately am playing with very low settings but my fps still drop in a big battle from 30-40 fps to 2-5 for 1-4 sec and then back again to 30-40.That is happening every 30 sec in a big battle with many other players around.I have my air condition that hit straight forward to my pc but i cant see difference. :( My cpu is on full load at that period of time when a big battle is on.I dont know what is happening,if you can tell me a tip to figure it out that will be appreciative.....

I still thin kits overheating to check I suggest you install HWMonitor and play a game and when it lags check what the CPU temp reached. Your system should easily cope with low settings in any game without an upgrade. Your CPU with a 200Mhz increase still gets a recommendation for a budget gaming PC see http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-2.html and your GPU should perform around the same as a Radeon 7750 even slightly better but lacking direct X 11. I am surprised how cool your GPU runs when I had the same one it ran into the 90s all the time.
