LSI 9240-8i Controller Reset Error on Startup

Hi folks. I'm running an LSI 9240-8i RAID card in Win8x64. Every time I boot up the MegaRAID software gives me the following error:

Controller ID: 0 Controller encountered a fatal error and was reset

I have the latest drivers. Any ideas? Thanks.

Usual troubleshooting steps on that are to update the firmware or roll back to one that didnt have this error if you just did update.
If problem still occurs then disable consistancy checks in MSM,
Disable any extra motherbd sata controllers (marvel, jmicron, gigabyte, asmedia...) and if you still get the problem then set your intel/amd ports to ide mode or disable them too. If you still have problems you probably have to send the card in for repair.
