Very occasional freezing, can't figure it out.

First my computer:
i5-2450P@3.2GHz
MSI Z77a-G43 MOBO
Corsair 8 GB DDR3 1333 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

I just built this computer, running windows 7. It runs really well when it's running. I play mostly Counterstrike GO and League of Legends. In both games, it runs fine 95% of the time. However, every few games I get a really hard, long freeze. In League it has recovered a few times, but in CS:GO it means force close.

There are some spots where it does shorter freezes here and there as well.

Other than that though, it runs great. Frames always stay very good in both games. It's not sputtering or frame drops, it's total freeze.

I've watched the CPU and GPU temps. CPU never gets hotter than around 60 degrees and the GPU never gets hotter than around 55 degrees.

I have not been able to find an answer anywhere. Please help!

All fine and dandy but you forgot to mention the power supply unit. What you're describing may be lack of power being fed to the GPU which results in the GPU lowering its speed in certain areas of a game which are pretty gpu dependent.

+1. This sounds like a typical PSU issue. What make/model of power supply is installed in this rig?

I did some testing. I turned on HWMonitor and ran a furmark benchmark. In another thread they told someone to do this. I don't know what any of the numbers mean though. Does anyone know what these numbers mean.
