Hi,

After getting a new GTX 760 graphics card, I am looking to get the most out of it by upgrading my monitor. I currently have a 19 inch 1360x768 one, so I am looking for a 24 inch (unless a different size is highly recommended) 1920x1080 monitor.

I am not too knowledgeable with monitors, so I need some advice on finding one perfect for me.

Here are my only requirements:

- Must be not too expensive, can be more than £150 but preferably no more than £200

- 1920x1080 in resolution, I am not really interested in higher than this, not even 1920x1200

- I will use it only for gaming and general computing, not movies or graphics design etc

- 24 inch seems to be the size I want, bigger than that would probably hurt my eyes as I will sit very close to it

- 120hz refresh rate would be nice, but if that costs significantly more I am not at all fussed

- I'm not too bothered by brand, but it would be nice to get one that I am familiar with (e.g Asus, LG, BenQ)

- I would prefer it to be from Amazon.co.uk, as their customer service is, hands down, the best I have ever come across in my entire life

At the moment I am leaning towards this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0045V7I0A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

What are your thoughts and suggestions?

Thanks for the help!

I'm not seeing any 120/144mhz monitors in that budget range at all, so you are going to be left with a "normal" monitor. I like http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/viewsonic-monitor-vx2453mhled for the fast response time, and Viewsonic brand name. But it's not significantly or relevantly better than what you have picked out.

There is an IPS monitor http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/lg-monitor-24ea53vq that is 23.8". IPS generally has a better picture than a non-ips. However, IPS monitors generally have a slower response time. 5ms for this one vs. 2ms for the one I listed above and the one you linked. 5ms isn't bad though. Without being able to get a 120mhz monitor, I'd say that's going to be your best bet.
