Hi,
I'm new to the forum and after some feedback on a PC I'm planning to build, as I've not built one since the P4 was released, so I'm a little out of touch.

Here's what I was planning: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1hlE4

I plan on getting the Asus GTX770 (which wasn't listed) rather than the Gigabyte, simply because I've had no issues with Asus in the past.

Many thanks

Haswell 4670K rig : http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1hmCZ (With SSD)

Here is an improved rig, the H60i was replaced by the Hyper 212 EVO due to them featuring very similar overall performance, while the Hyper 212 EVI costed far less, I was able to add an improved motherboard and an ASUS GTX 770 to the list, and upped the PSU to a reliable 750W XFX ProSeries PSU for around the same cost. I also think you should consider a 840 Pro SSD as your boot drive, you will be amazed at how fast these things go.
Went with your general budget and modified it a bit.

Haswell Cpu over Ivy Bridge. Haswell doesn't overclock as well as IB in general, but that's at the extreme end of the spectrum. The motherboard listed has integrated Wi-fi, eliminating the need for an add-in part. The Noctua cooler actually outperforms the H60 for the same price. Dropped down to a 1TB HDD paired with a 120Gb SSD. You can actually fill up the SSD and not have to worry about a huge performance hit, so that's a major bonus. Better Ram for a little more money, but you could save some cash there. Same case except with a side window, because I think showing off the nice clean insides of a great build is just epic bragging rights. Better Psu(better quality, higher wattage, and semi-modular). The 770 has one of the highest stock clock rates out there, so while I understand wanting to stick with an Asus branded version, I'd urge you to seriously consider this offering.

Excellent. Thanks guys. Think I'll be going for an amalgamation of the two suggestions, in particular, the uprated processor and MB, alternative fan, PSU and add an SSD.

Hopefully ordering it all shortly.
