I have two mechanical drives i want to put in raid 0, but one of them already has everything on it and i have no third drive, is it possible to set the two drives up i raid 0 and have the files distributed across both drives? Thanks in advance!

Solution
1) Make sure your chipset is raid support, check the manual because no all the chipset can raid. Or use the add-on card to raid
2) If you use the intel system, you add the link for how to.
3) If you use the AMD system, sorry I don't know and don't ask why.

For win7 OS: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?72309-How-to-switch-to-RAID-0-without-reinstalling
For WinXP OS: http://www.zittware.com/support/raidhack.html

Also you said you don't have the third drive that means you don't have the backup drive. So when you set the raid if something is going wrong than you will lost everything. So it is up to you to RAID or not to RAID. But I recommend not to RAID at this time.
