Graphics choice- overkill?

Should I be looking at different CPU for rendering purposes?

Got this much RAM because of editing purposes, but don't want to buy now and go back later with a different set.

Id use the Phanteks cooler .... unless ya dont mind the noise of the H series ... and you'd need a H100 to beat the Phantks by 1/2 degree
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-heat-sink-haswell,3554-22.html

The Asus, MSI and Gigabyte ones are all faster .... the Giga especially so
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125463

Skip the Corsair series with the M suffix....you want the TX850 V2 version
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139022

Id get a BR Player if doing the movie thing .... writers are oft same price

Windows 7 over Windows 8? Not up on the debate there. Currently use and like 7, but read that 8 is good as well. Thoughts?
