I have 2 4gb sticks of ram my pc only shows 4 gb of ram. Please help!

I just purchased 2 4gb ripjaws both the same and i put them in my hp p6-2007 with windows 7 64 bit. Anyways i made sure they are in the right way nice and tight and clamps on and im getting this problem. Thanks in advanced!!!!

I tried what you said and left ram in only a socket. Did not work and i tried leaving in only b socket and it did work what could be the problem? I also tried putting in the old 2 gb ram and old 4 gb ram in socket a alone and same deal.
