I have an issue. My Corsair H60 is broken. Currently, at idle my CPU is running from 40-50 degrees C. In a game such as League of Legends, it will get to around 60 degrees C.

I am having the part RMA'd and will be taking it out of my tower and mailing to back to Corsair soon, but in the mean time I want to know if my computer is safe to run without damaging my CPU.

EDIT: There seemed to be some confusion. The H60 is a closed liquid cooling unit. The CPU is still being cooled by the liquid, the problem is is that the fan is not spinning so the liquid isn't being cooled properly. I won't be RMAing it for a while so I wanted to know if I could game for a while longer or if the broken fan on the cooling unit would impact the CPU too much.

I will remove the H60, clean off the thermal paste with some isopropyl alcohol and reapply the thermal paste to add on the stock cooler as some have suggested.

NOOOO! you cant run without cooler.

.unless you like the smell of burning silicon...lovely smell i find

on a side note> i donot think the H60 is broken. your temps are however higher than it should be. its more likely that have not installed the cooler properly and/or airflow in the radiator is not good. maybe check the room temp and make sure the fans are...

The fan that cools the liquid isn't spinning and everything is connected tightly and securely. It still has the liquid in the tubes, the liquid just isn't being cooled properly.

I see. Thank you for the helpful response. I am somewhat of a noob.

I was expecting someone to poke that one out. I wrote it like that because my guess is that the guy doesn't have fans flying around, and the only other thing in his possession that he can connect is the Intel stock cooler.
