need help upgrading to a better cpu

I currently have a AMD FX-1600, and my motherboard box says: "Unlocked FX Processor" and "9-Series Chipset, can someone explain to me what these things mean, and cpu's that are better/ worth the money, I'm upgrading for faster video editing.

well, there is no price info.

but its a ok build. maybe FX-6300 or FX6350 is a better choice. that has higher performance 15-30% depending on which model you choose. FX-6300 should be priced similarly .

FX-8320/8350 is even better but will definately be more pricy
